The first shot across the bow was a previously leaked 2015 interrogation of the Atlanta r<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>er. It was seen as Thug trolling detectives when it first emerged in November 2023; now, it\u2019s being portrayed as the rapper collaborating with authorities during the RICO trial against his rap label YSL. This was soon followed by a steady stream of leaked jail calls where Thug speaks incredibly bluntly on friends and foes alike. The criticism got so intense that Thug attempted to clear the air over the weekend with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Rwd3zMhGgbk&amp;rco=1\">a three-and-a-half hour interview<\/a> \u2014 easily one of the longest of his career \u2014 on the podcast <i>Perspektives with Bank<\/i>.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-273890\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>\n            <br \/>Most of the alleged calls are simply the latest in a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of tabloid-fattening leaks. In them, Thug purportedly discusses his hatred for Gunna, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/rb-hip-hop\/young-thug-gunna-stream-purchase-allegations-1236056892\/\">purchasing streams for <i>DS4<\/i><\/a> and <i>Business Is Business<\/i>, alleges <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DOBv6REjSpv\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=b4cbf8c8-276f-4d5a-af3c-beff7eb4e1cf\">Scooter Braun attempted to buy Lil Baby out of his deal<\/a> before HYBE purchased Quality Control Music in 2023, and insults everyone from QCM CEO Coach P (a \u201crat\u201d) and Kendrick Lamar (for <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.iheart.com\/content\/2025-09-02-young-thug-trashes-kendrick-lamar-praises-drake-in-leaked-jail-call\/\">pulling a verse from Thug\u2019s album<\/a> and hilariously, never posting on Instagram) to collaborators including Migos, Lil Durk, Lil Baby and long-time producer Wheezy (\u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Gunnnaupdates\/status\/1962184316416303264\">He always been stupid and r*tarded<\/a>\u201d). In one conversation, 21 Savage defends Gunna to Thug by pointing out that Thug encouraged his brother Unfoonk to take the same plea deal as Thug\u2019s one-time right hand.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            Young Thug superfan turned DIY legal observer <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ThuggerDaily\">@ThuggerDaily<\/a> doesn\u2019t question the authenticity of the recordings.  \u201cI had been sent them a long time ago by random fans,\u201d he tells me over DM. When it comes to the details of the YSL RICO trial, no one has been more dedicated: the anonymous user managing the account has been publicly covering the trial every day since December 2022, though he started sifting through court docs even earlier, breaking down the case for \u201ca group chat of a bunch of Young Thug fans,\u201d who encouraged him to publish his findings to combat <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> misinformation.\n          <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-273891\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>\n            <br \/>\u201cIn the time period where I started this account, media interest in the case fell very low,\u201d Thugger Daily says. \u201cThe case was too long and complicated which made it very hard to follow, and much of it was boring, so not worth the money of paying a reporter to be there 8 hours a day [and] the case wasn\u2019t being streamed at this point either.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            Thugger Daily ended up finding the private Zoom link for court proceedings accidentally copied on a public filing, making the account, for a while, the public\u2019s de facto window into trial proceedings. The account\u2019s consistent coverage and plain language interpretations of legalese buoyed his profile, to the point that lawyers and defendants were comfortable vetting information at the source when fellow journalists couldn\u2019t corroborate a tip.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Thugger Daily\u2019s coverage of the trial has earned him plaudits from <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/magazine\/2024\/12\/23\/the-joseph-pulitzer-of-the-young-thug-trial\"><i>The New Yorker<\/i><\/a>, who labeled him the trial\u2019s Joseph Pulitzer, and legal reporter turned hip-hop internet heavyweight <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/meghanncuniff\/status\/1813678862821367973\">Meghann Cuniff<\/a>. That shouldn\u2019t be misinterpreted as a lack of bias: following an uncharacteristic apology from Young Thug to GloRilla on Thursday afternoon, Thugger Daily <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ThuggerDaily\/status\/1963695844953305385\">offered to leak some positive calls<\/a> to help shift the narrative. Still, you\u2019d be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable expert to help break down everything going on with Young Thug right now.\n          <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"content_block paragraph triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-273892\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>\n            Thug has spent much of the past week on social media <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/youngthug\/status\/1961132240886210924\">attempting to refute snitch allegations<\/a> (\u201cI tried to free my mans[&#8230;]\u201d) and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/youngthug\/status\/1963377050724827418\">taunting his haters\/burning bridges<\/a> (\u201cAll yall new junkies in [Lil Durk\u2019s label] otf, just know I\u2019m the one sent Brian steel to help [Durk, who faces murder-for-hire charges] on my dime\u201d). No big surprise, given his hard-nosed anti-rat rhetoric following the YSL trial and his occasional public spats with artists like Future (\u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/youngthug\/status\/694995765685526528?lang=en\">Boy slow down dropping all that BS music<\/a>\u201d belongs in the MoMA). Thugger Daily diplomatically declines to comment on the contents of these calls, saying in part, \u201cI think posting them is messed up, but it is what it is.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Over the weekend, Thug retweeted one of the account\u2019s posts defending the rapper, which Thugger Daily took as an endorsement of his authority on the court case (\u201cdefinitely a cool feeling\u201d). The FADER caught up with Thugger Daily on Wednesday to discuss Thug\u2019s jailhouse interrogation footage and how YSL fans are responding to the snitching allegations.\n          <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"content_block paragraph triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-273893\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>\n            <b>The FADER: Could you tell our readers a little about when you started covering the YSL trial and when you finished coverage?<\/b>\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            <b>@ThuggerDaily:<\/b> I took over this page in December 2022, it had around 1000 followers. This was around the same time as Gunna&#8217;s Alford plea; other defendants like Tick and DK took plea deals as well. Can you tell me a little bit about how those deals were interpreted at the time? From your perspective, did fans really feel like they were &#8220;snitching?\u201d<\/b>\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Yes, the headlines from blogs [were] immediately that these defendants agreed to provide evidence against Young Thug and the other defendants. It felt like Young Thug was cooked because some of the most key people in the case (Thug\u2019s closest friends, a YSL co-founder, and a couple of people with very serious allegations in the indictment) were the ones taking these pleas.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            It was a dark time. When the smoke cleared, it became apparent that from a legal perspective, this only applied to a handful of the pleas \u2014 not all of them. The debates still went on for years. The optics were terrible and the state was dominating the narrative.\n          <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-273896\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>\n            <b>With the reignited convo, there\u2019s been a re-released video of Thug\u2019s interrogation by police, and it seems like the interpretation of that footage has shifted dramatically.<\/b>\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            My take on that is I don\u2019t think the majority of people actually think Thug is a rat based off that video, but fans felt there\u2019s been a bit of a double standard by the media. The narrative is being led by people who fell out with Thug or have been labeled rats by [the] media. And it doesn\u2019t help that Thug himself has been so vocally against rats the entire time he\u2019s been back home.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            <b>There have also been a bunch of alleged leaked jail calls. In your estimation, are these calls authentic? What should we make of them?<\/b>\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Certainly authentic, I had been sent them a long time ago by random fans so they\u2019ve been floating around. It was a ticking time bomb that they\u2019d inevitably leak. I tried to avoid commenting about them because they are private conversations, s<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>ped of context, in an emotionally vulnerable state. Are there any other specific misrepresentations\/misinterpretations of info that stood out to you over the past week or so?<\/b>\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            Most of the calls being posted are attempting to get in the middle of Thug\u2019s relationships with other people, so it\u2019s not really something [I] have anything to say about, I really don\u2019t feel it\u2019s my place at all.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            <b>I also wanted to ask your opinion on his recent music, both officially released and leaked, as a fan of Thug\u2019s since \u201cHercules\u201d and <i>SS3<\/i>.<\/b>\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            As a fan, I&#8217;m disappointed in the lack of releases since the trial. It felt like he had a moment to capitalize on and he just \u2026 didn\u2019t. I get after going though something like that, you may have different priorities but can&#8217;t help but feel like that as a fan.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            That said, for his few releases (2 guest verses and one single), fans were really hoping to hear more about Thug\u2019s thoughts and feelings regarding everything he\u2019s been going through but Thug has largely been avoiding that. His upcoming feature on Lil Baby\u2019s album is an exception to that, and [the snippet] had fans really excited.  But it\u2019s unclear if plans have changed with everything going on \u2014 Thug teased like he was going to drop something himself soon.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Sound-wise, I\u2019ve heard some promising snippets and other snippets I really don\u2019t care for (rage beats).
