Mehta outlined softer-than-feared remedies for\u00a0his year-ago ruling that\u00a0Google maintained an illegal monopoly in\u00a0search. The DOJ had proposed stronger remedies, including that Alphabet-owned Google be forced to sell Chrome. Tech companies like Perplexity and\u00a0Ecosia lined up with\u00a0unsolicited bids. But that possibility has been nixed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond Google\u2019s\u00a0cash cow of search, its cloud computing business is also growing rapidly on the strength of its AI offerings.
