A third season of the DAN DAN DAN<\/em> anime<\/a> adaptation has been announced.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second season aired during the soon-to-end Summer 2025 anime season, while the first season aired during the Fall 2024 anime season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

DAN DA<\/em>\u00a0DAN\u00a0<\/em>is based on\u00a0the Shueisha-published sci-fi occult manga by\u00a0Yukinobu Tatsu<\/b>, which debuted on Shonen Jump+ in 2021 and has 20 volumes as of July 2025. Viz Media<\/a> describes the manga as:<\/span><\/p>\n

Momo Ayase strikes up an unusual friendship with her school\u2019s UFO fanatic, whom she nicknames \u201cOkarun\u201d because he has a name that is not to be said aloud. While Momo believes in spirits, she thinks aliens are nothing but nonsense. Her new friend, meanwhile, thinks the exact opposite. To settle matters, the two set out to prove each other wrong\u2014Momo to a UFO hotspot and Okarun to a haunted tunnel! What unfolds next is a beautiful story of young love\u2026and oddly horny aliens and spirits?<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
