Following its second box office weekend, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle<\/em> (Gekijoban \u201cKimetsu no Yaiba\u201d Mugenjou-hen Daiisshou Akaza Sairai<\/em>) has been recorded to have a global gross of US$555 million, making it the biggest anime<\/a> movie of all time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s also the first to break the US$500 million barrier; 2020\u2019s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train\u00a0<\/em>came fairly close with its US$486,451,200 haul, while 2016\u2019s Your Name<\/em> made US$405,349,022. All this is without considering inflation and factors like the number of available screens, however.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity<\/em> Castle<\/em>\u2018s US$555 million makes it the ninth highest-grossing movie of 2025, right below Mission: Impossible \u2013 The Final Reckoning<\/em>. In the realm of animation, it\u2019s second to Chinese film Ne Zha 2<\/em>, which is also the best-performing movie of the year in general<\/a>. The circumstances between the two films are different, however;\u00a0Ne Zha 2<\/em> earned US$1,862,459,345 out of its total US$1,902,337,333 gross in China alone, and it is not certain if Infinity<\/em> Castle\u00a0<\/em>will be screened in the country.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In terms of the weekend, Infinity<\/em> Castle\u00a0<\/em>made US$17.3 million in its second US box office weekend, compared to its US$70 million weekend opening. In Japan, where it premiered back in July 18 JST, it fell to second place for the first time thanks to <\/span>Chainsaw Man \u2013 The Movie: Reze Arc<\/em>\u2018s debut.<\/span><\/p>\n

Infinity<\/em> Castle\u00a0<\/em>is the first of a trilogy that will depict the final battles of the Demon Slayer<\/em> saga. The Demon Slayer <\/em>anime began in 2019 with a first season, and is based on the Shueisha-published\u00a0manga by\u00a0Koyoharu Gotouge<\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Infinity<\/em> Castle\u00a0<\/em>is currently the second highest-grossing movie in Japan, below Mugen Train<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
