“#NYC jogger says bottle-wielding woman’s racist tirade ‘was a hate crime’<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n The Queens jogger who was attacked by a bottle-wielding woman who hurled a hateful racist epitaph at her said Wednesday she wants her assailant brought to justice.<\/p>\n

Tiffany Johnson was jogging at 53rd Place and Broadway in Woodside around noon on Aug. 17 when a stranger hurled a bottle at her and yelled: \u201cGet out of here, n\u2014-r, go back to Africa!,\u201d video released by police on Wednesday shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a hate crime,\u201d Johnson told The Post in a phone interview. \u201cIt\u2019s not acceptable. She has to be [held] responsible for her behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n

At first, Johnson said she thought the hateful woman had mistaken her for someone else, before realizing \u201cshe could see the color of my skin and she reacted to that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was definitely shocked. I was surprised but, more importantly, I wanted to get away from her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson said she should be able to go out running without fear of being accosted with racial slurs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m entitled to go for a jog, live my life, enjoy my life and enjoy the things that makes me happ<\/a>y,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

But, Johnson said, she wasn\u2019t going to let the bigot drag her down to her level.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not on me. That\u2019s a reflection on her,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cShe needs to look at herself and figure out why she looks down on somebody.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cWe are always trying to give reasons for what people do but I can\u2019t get into her head. I only know what she did, what she said and her actions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson said she\u2019s glad cops released footage of the incident and hopes it will help in identifying her attacker, who is described as about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds with blue eyes and long blond hair.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m glad the video surfaced so, hopefully, she won\u2019t do this to someone else,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cPeople shouldn\u2019t have to deal with that type of behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI refused to and that\u2019s why I walked away \u2014 nope, nope!\u201d<\/p>\n
