Ryan Reynolds<\/strong> is looking back on a tense moment with his wife, Blake Lively<\/strong>, in which he hurled a shocking insult at her during a phone call with a legendary actor!<\/p>\n

During an app<\/a>earance for the film in New Jersey on Thursday for John Candy: I Like Me<\/em>, according to Dailymail.com<\/em><\/a>, the Deadpool<\/em> star said he wanted to get in touch with a fellow actor because he wanted him to participate in the documentary. Who was it? It was none other than Bill Murray<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

The Proposal<\/em> alum was \u201cdesperate\u201d to get the icon in the film and got his phone number from \u201ca friend of a friend of a friend.\u201d He left a voicemail asking for the opportunity to \u201cpick [Murray]\u2019s brain\u201d over the life of late comedia<\/a>n John Candy<\/strong>. He said in full:<\/p>\n

\u201cHey Bill, Ryan Reynolds here. I\u2019m making a documentary about John Candy. I\u2019m just hoping I could pick your brain. I\u2019ll come to you. I\u2019ll do whatever it takes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Ryan then went on to leave \u201c40 messages.\u201d But it wasn\u2019t until the Wrexham A.F.C.<\/strong> owner later stepped out with Blake for a formal event that Bill finally got back to him! He recalled:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m there with my wife and we\u2019re about to walk in and my phone buzzes, and I look at it. It says Bill Murray and I go, \u2018Bill Murray!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Lowering his voice to mimic Blake, he said the Gossip Girl<\/em> alum told him:<\/p>\n

Did Ryan really say that to Blake? And if so, did he sleep on the couch that night? Look, we know it is not every day you receive a phone call from a star like Bill Murray, and you want to answer it right away when he does. However, hurling \u201cf**k you\u201d at your wife when she is simply telling you that you need to go inside for an event is rude \u2014 even if it was a joke or whatever. It\u2019s not funny. A simple \u201cin a minute\u201d or \u201cone second\u201d would suffice and is more respectful. Just saying.<\/p>\n

Anyway\u2026 Ryan answered the call. He explained that Bill said he would let him know about the documentary. It wasn\u2019t a definite yes yet, but the dad of four wasn\u2019t giving up. He \u201cleft another 40 messages\u201d in a \u201cdesperate\u201d attempt since he was \u201crunning out of time\u201d to wrap filming. And eventually, he switched tactics. In one final attempt, Ryan told the audience he sent a video to Bill starring his son Olin<\/strong>, who is now 2 years old. He continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cI said, \u2018If you say no to a child like that, I don\u2019t know what kind of monster you are.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

LOLz! Well, the plan worked! Bill called Ryan \u201ctwo seconds later,\u201d asking:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat do you need from me for JC [John Candy]?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

At least he got Bill on board \u2014 even though his behavior during the process seemingly could\u2019ve been better at times\u2026<\/p>\n
