\n\tCutting-edge technology<\/a>, cost effectiveness, and \u201cunlimited creativity.\u201d That is what Spain\u2019s Pedralonga Estudios promised at a launch event for its new virtual production facility Coru\u00f1a Immersive Studio\u00a0(CEI) on the third day of the\u00a0fifth edition of\u00a0Iberseries<\/a>\u00a0& Platino Industria in\u00a0Madrid, Spain.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt is equipped with \u201cstate-of-the-art immersive technology capable of recreating hyper-realistic environments that drive both the national and international media<\/a> industry,\u201d according to press materials.

Under the title \u201cInnovation and Efficiency: Discover the Future of Content Production,\u201d the event, attended by industry representatives from Spain and foreign countries, featured comments from Jos\u00e9 Manuel Deus, managing director of Pedralonga Estudios,\u00a0Rosa Ana Garc\u00eda, County Council member for industry, business, environment, employment, and demographic policy of A Coru\u00f1a,\u00a0Miguel Ovejero, deputy director general<\/a> for audiovisual communication services regulation at\u00a0the Secretariat of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA), and\u00a0Alfonso Blanco, president of the\u00a0Galician Audiovisual Cluster\u00a0(CLAG).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cCEI is set to make its mark on Spanish media production thanks to its advanced technological infrastructure,\u201d promise information materials about the new facility. \u201cAmong its main attractions is a\u00a0750 square meter virtual studio\u00a0equipped with a semi-circular\u00a0LED wall\u00a0measuring\u00a028 meters wide by 6 meters high\u00a0and offering\u00a04K resolution\u00a0with a\u00a01.9 pixel pitch definition, which optimizes costs and expands creative possibilities for national and international productions.\u201d

The facility\u2019s development involved an investment of \u201cclose to 9.0 million euros ($10.6 million),\u201d supported by the Spanish government through the Next Generation EU Funds and others. The complex is managed by Pedralonga Estudios, which launched in 2024 and brings together CLAG, the University of A Coru\u00f1a and a group of 10 leading Galician media companies.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cPedralonga Estudios and CEI complete a perfect cocktail that positions Galicia as the\u00a0ideal filming destination\u201d, offering other attractions such as its more than 30 years of experience, internationally renowned production companies, first-rate crew and talent, unrivalled landscape diversity, and public subsidies that facilitate co-production and encourage the attraction of film shoots, said Blanco.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
