That\u2019s a 5.3% year-over-year increase covering the period from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31.<\/p>\n<p>Adobe\u2019s analysis, based on over 1 trillion visits to U.S. retail sites and 100 million SKUs across 18 categories, suggests that this year\u2019s season will be shaped by the dominance of mobile shopping, flexible payment options and the growing influence of generative AI and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> platforms on consumer behavior.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cyber Week to drive nearly a fifth of spend<\/strong>. Adobe expects 10 separate days where online spending will top $5 billion. Cyber Week \u2013 the five-day stretch from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday \u2013\u00a0will account for $43.7 billion, or 17.2% of the season\u2019s total, up 6.3% YoY.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cyber Monday<\/strong>\u00a0remains the single biggest day at $14.2 billion (+6.3% YoY).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Black Friday<\/strong>\u00a0is forecast to grow faster, up 8.3% YoY to $11.7 billion.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Thanksgiving Day<\/strong>\u00a0spending will hit $6.4 billion (+4.9% YoY).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mobile overtakes desktop shopping<\/strong>. For the first time, mobile devices will drive the majority of online holiday spend, capturing 56.1% ($142.7 billion). That\u2019s up 8.5% YoY and a dramatic shift from 2020, when mobile accounted for just 40% of holiday ecommerce.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Buy Now, Pay Later expands share<\/strong>. Consumers continue to embrace Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) for budget flexibility. <\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>BNPL purchases to reach $20.2 billion this season (+11% YoY), including more than $1 billion on Cyber Monday alone, per Adobe. <\/li>\n<li>Notably, nearly 80% of BNPL transactions are expected to come from mobile devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>October boost.\u00a0<\/strong>Adobe expects early holiday discounts in October to jump-start seasonal shopping, with Amazon\u2019s Prime Day event \u2013 now an industrywide ecommerce moment \u2013\u00a0driving much of that activity. <\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> U.S. consumers will spend $9 billion across Oct. 7-8, a 6.2% year-over-year increase, as retailers roll out promotions to capture early demand, Adobe projected. <\/li>\n<li>Discounts will peak at 17% off list prices, setting the tone for an aggressive start to the holiday season, Adobe said.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Discounting drives higher-ticket purchases<\/strong>: Discounting will remain aggressive, with deals peaking during Cyber Week:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Electronics:<\/strong>\u00a0up to 28% off<\/li>\n<li><strong>Toys:<\/strong>\u00a027%<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>arel:<\/strong>\u00a025%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Adobe notes a \u201ctrade-up effect,\u201d with shoppers using discounts to purchase higher-end items. The share of units sold from premium products is expected to jump in sporting goods (+56%), electronics (+52%), and appliances (+39%).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Electronics, apparel, and home goods lead<\/strong>: More than half of all online spending will be concentrated in three categories:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Electronics:<\/strong>\u00a0$57.5 billion (+4% YoY)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Apparel:<\/strong>\u00a0$47.6 billion (+4.4% YoY)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Furniture:<\/strong>\u00a0$31.1 billion (+6.5% YoY)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Smaller but fast-growing categories include groceries (+9.2% YoY) and cosmetics (+9.1% YoY).<\/p>\n<p>Adobe also projects surging demand for home improvement, health tech and gaming. Sales of activity trackers are expected to rise 1,055%, smartwatches 950% and gaming consoles 1,040% versus baseline spending earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Hot sellers include the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Series<\/a> X, iPhone 17, Google Pixel 10, Dyson Airwrap Multi Styler, and trending toys like Disney Stitch Puppetronic and Labubu Dolls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AI and social media reshape discovery<\/strong>: There are two significant shifts in how consumers are finding products, according to Adobe:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Generative AI traffic<\/strong>\u00a0to retail sites is forecast to rise 520% YoY, following a 1,300% surge last year. Shoppers are turning to AI tools for research (53%), product recommendations (40%), deal-finding (36%), and gift inspiration (30%).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Social media influence<\/strong>\u00a0on ecommerce is expected to jump 51% YoY, with affiliate and influencer-driven sales also growing 14%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why we care. <\/strong>Adobe\u2019s forecast underscores the continued strength of U.S. ecommerce and signals how consumer behavior is shifting toward mobile-first, AI-assisted, and socially influenced shopping.
