\n\tCharli XCX wasn\u2019t supposed to be Saturday Night Live<\/em>\u2018s musical guest, but that didn\u2019t stop her from making a surprise app<\/a>earance on the late night show Saturday night.<\/p>\n

\n\tRole Model, who served as the official musical guest of the second episode of season 51, hit the stage where he performed a rendition of his track, \u201cSally, When The Wine Runs Out.\u201d When performing the song at his live shows, the artist typically brings out a special guest of his own, known better to fans as the \u201cSally girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the past, Role Model has chosen artists like Conan Gray and Charli XCX\u2019s dear friend and Sweat Tour co-headliner Troye Sivan to serve the role. The two have taken joking jabs<\/a> at one another on social media<\/a> due to faux \u201cSally girl\u201d drama, which included Role Model featuring the \u201cRush\u201d singer during one of his shows.<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, it appeared Charli XCX and Role Model officially worked it out on the remix (or SNL<\/em> stage) as she delivered a surprise cameo during his performance of the beloved song. Eagle-eyed fans also pointed out that the \u201c360\u201d singer wore the same shirt Role Model had on during promo shots that were released earlier this week for the episode. The shirt read, \u201cmax\u2019s kansas city.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cLook At That Woman\u201d singer made his SNL<\/em> debut on Saturday night, where he was joined by host Amy Poehler. The second episode of season 51 proved to be a star-studded night in terms of appearances, as former cast members Tina Fey and Seth Meyers also made unanticipated cameos. <\/p>\n

\n\tCharli XCX hosted SNL<\/em> for the first time last year, where she also doubled as musical guest. The Grammy winner is known to spotlight fans and (sometimes) surprise celebrities during special segments of her concerts. Set to her track \u201cApple,\u201d Charli XCX regularly picks a concertgoer or public figure to be platformed on the big screen of her shows, where they often recite the popular TikTok dance to the tune of her song. <\/p>\n

\n\tHer SNL<\/em> appearance comes amid speculation of an alleged feud with Taylor Swift. The latter singer\u2019s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>, featured a track entitled \u201cActually Romantic,\u201d which some fans believe is a response to Charli XCX\u2019s 2024 track \u201cSympathy is a knife.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
