Did Charli XCX<\/strong> just fire back at Taylor Swift<\/strong>?!<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve seemingly been watching a pop star war unfold in real time in the wake of Taylor Swift\u2019s new album The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>. Specifically the seventh track, Actually Romantic<\/em>. If you\u2019re unaware of what\u2019s going down, Taylor sings:<\/p>\n

\u201cI heard you call me \u2018Boring Barbie\u2019 when the coke\u2019s got you brave. High-fived my ex and then you said you\u2019re glad he ghosted me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Many fans believe it\u2019s a response to Charli\u2019s song Sympathy Is a Knife<\/em> from her 2024 album Brat<\/em>\u2026 If you haven\u2019t listened to that album, drug use is a common theme<\/a> across multiple songs. See the possible connection? In Actually Romantic<\/em>, Taylor also references her ex Matty Healy<\/strong> ghosting her. During Saturday\u2019s episode, which vet Amy Poehler<\/strong> hosted, Role Model<\/strong> took the stage as musical guest. And during his performance of Sally, When The Wine Runs Out<\/em>, Charli surprised viewers by joining him on stage as his \u201cSally.\u201d And her wardrobe is getting everyone riled up!<\/p>\n

During her appearance, the Apple<\/em> singer had on a black mini skirt and a shirt that read:<\/p>\n

Now before we get to the obvious reference, let\u2019s note that Max\u2019s Kansas City was a popular gathering spot for musicians in NYC from the mid-1960s to the early-1980s. ALSO, Role Model\u2019s new album is titled Kansas Anymore<\/em>, so it could be a reference to either of those. But Kansas City is obviously also where Taylor\u2019s man Travis Kelce<\/strong> lives and the football team he plays for! See the clip (below):<\/p>\n
