The Frieren: Beyond Journey\u2019s End<\/em> manga<\/a> series<\/a> has announced that it will be going on a hiatus. The announcement was made on their official X\/Twitter<\/a> account.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Japan Anime News<\/a>, in consideration of the creators\u2019 health, the series will be taking a break as they adjust the serialization pacing and publication format. Details of the series\u2019 return will be announced in the future in Weekly Shonen Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Frieren: Beyond Journey\u2019s End<\/em> is written by Kanehito Yamada <\/strong>and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe <\/strong>and began serialization in Shogakukan\u2019s Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2020. As of October 2025, it has released 14 manga volumes, with the 15th volume set to release in Japan on December 18, 2025. The manga won awards, including the 48th Kodansha Awards for the Shonen category and the 69th Shogakukan Manga Award.<\/span><\/p>\n

It inspired an anime series that first premiered in September 2023. It was announced that the series\u2019 second season will premiere on January 16, 2026, as a part of Nippon TV\u2019s Friday Anime Night Block.<\/span><\/p>\n
