Shueisha<\/strong>\u2018s Jump J Books label will release a new Blue Box<\/em> novel on December 4 JST, titled Blue Box Interlude<\/em> (Ao no Hako Interlude<\/em>).<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the stories in the book will focus on a sick Kyo during the summer of his first high school year. During this time, Kyo finds himself thinking about his unrequited love as well as \u201ca certain summer\u2019s memories\u201d that he shares with his friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

There will also be an after-school story about Ayame and Kyo, as well as one about Taiki and Chinatsu\u2019s first part-time experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n

Blue Box Interlude\u00a0<\/em>is the second novel inspired by Koji Miura<\/b>\u2018s teen romance manga<\/a>, after 2024\u2019s Blue Box Prologue<\/em>. Nanao<\/strong> is returning as the author. The cover art wasn\u2019t revealed at the time of writing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Miura\u2019s manga began as a 2020 one-shot before receiving serialization in Shueisha\u2019s Weekly Shonen Jump in 2021. 22 volumes have been released as of October 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

A TV anime adaptation premiered in October 2024 and has a second season on the way.<\/span><\/p>\n
