Both platforms were reported<\/a> offline<\/a> by DownDetector.com around 1:49 p.m. on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Users are taking to Twitter, still up-and-running, to share their grievances with the social media disruption.<\/p>\n

\u201ceveryone opening twitter to check if their instagram is down too #instagramdown,\u201d tweeted one user<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat time again\u2026 #instagramdown and we all rush to check Twitter. And this time? Facebook is down too! #Facebookdown,\u201d added another<\/a>.<\/p>\n

By 2:22 p.m., over 65,000 users had reported Instagram to DownDetector. As of 2:23, nearly 14,000 had logged Facebook\u2019s error.<\/p>\n

Both platforms are currently back online after the errors, which Facebook has not yet explained.<\/p>\n

At the time of publication on this story, Facebook, which also owns Instagram, has not returned The Post\u2019s request for comment.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
