\n\tJennifer Coolidge (The White Lotus<\/em>) and\u00a0singer and actress Nicole Scherzinger have joined the cast of Rebel Wilson\u2019s\u00a0Girl Group<\/em>, a\u00a0comedy now in production that Wilson is writing, directing, producing, and\u00a0starring in for Live Nation Studios and Future Artists Entertainment. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Scherzinger, fresh off her run on the West End and Broadway of\u00a0Sunset Boulevard<\/em>, and two-time Emmy winner Coolidge will play roles that weren\u2019t immedia<\/a>tely detailed. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn the movie, Wilson plays a pop diva who\u2019s\u00a0been kicked out of her own girl group\u2019s reunion tour and slapp<\/a>ed with a sentence of court-ordered\u00a0community service. She seizes this to stage a comeback by coaching a group of misfit\u00a0teen girls for a major record label audition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The ensemble cast of Girl Group<\/em> also includes Randall Park (WandaVision<\/em>, Fresh off the Boat<\/em>), Sheridan\u00a0Smith (Mrs Biggs<\/em>, Cilla<\/em>), Jamie Lee O\u2019Donnell (Derry Girls<\/em>,\u00a0Leonard & Hungry Paul<\/em>),\u00a0comedian Guz Khan (Man Like Mobeen<\/em>, The Gentleman<\/em>), Jolene Blalock (Star Trek: Enterprise<\/em>),\u00a0as well as Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm, and All Saints\u2019 Shaznay\u00a0Lewis who will play the girlband\u00a0Girlfriends<\/em> alongside Wilson\u2019s character. Loren Gray will also star.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film is being produced by Wilson under her Camp Sugar banner, alongside Matt Williams\u00a0of Future Artists Entertainment, and executive produced by Live Nation Studios. Chris Scott\u00a0(Wicked<\/em>) is the choreographer. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tLive events giant Live Nation Entertainment\u2019s Live Nation Studios unit was created to help artists tell their stories in films and TV series<\/a>. It has been behind the likes of The French Montana Story: For Khadija<\/em>, The Weeknd\u2019s Hurry Up Tomorrow<\/em>, and such documentaries as Billy Idol Should Be Dead<\/em>. Williams\u2019 Future Artists Entertainment, founded in 2019, has been behind such releases as Bank of Dave 2<\/em>, featuring Rory Kinnear, as well as Russell Crowe\u2019s Pokerface<\/em>, featuring Liam Hemsworth, and Robin and the Hoods<\/em>, starring Naomie Harris and Gwendoline Christie.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
