This year, the Recording Academy welcomed <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/musicrow.com\/2025\/11\/recording-academy-welcomes-over-3800-new-members\/\">3,800 new voters<\/a> for this year&#8217;s awards, an effort to increase the diversity of the membership pool after facing backlash in recent years. The change had a nominal effect on this year&#8217;s nominations with the top awards still t<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ing the Recording Academy favorites like Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            Still, a few historical precedents were made. Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with nine nominations, while Bad Bunny, with seven nods, has his album <i>DeB\u00ed TiRAR M\u00e1S FOToS<\/i>, become the second Spanish-language album in history to be nominated for Album of the Year. For the first time, K-pop broke into the major categories with Ros\u00e9&#8217;s &#8220;APT.,&#8221; and HUNTR\/X&#8217;s &#8220;Golden&#8221; securing spots in Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
