Kim Kardashian<\/strong> is once again getting real about the romantic roller coaster that is her post-Kanye West<\/strong> world. And this time she\u2019s having it out with none other than the queen of soulful intensity herself, Sarah Paulson<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve been keeping up<\/em> (excuse the pun, plz), you know Kim has not exactly been racing back into the dating pool since finalizing that long, winding divorce from Ye. And in the newest episode of The Kardashians<\/em>, she spills exactly why the idea of romance is starting to feel, well, a little less sparkly these days.<\/p>\n

Kim began on the latest ep of the Hulu<\/strong> series<\/a>\u00a0by reflecting on what it\u2019s like filming long days on set with the All\u2019s Fair<\/em> crew and how her closest co-stars have begun to really witness the behind-the-scenes chaos of mom life, fame, and emotional juggling.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a LOT! And in a confessional clip, the KUWTK<\/em> alum\u00a0said:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re on set with a group of girls that you\u2019re really close to and you\u2019re there 16 hours a day, they can\u2019t help but see when one of my kids is having a hard night or stuff in the media<\/a>, if things are crazy, they see how I cope and how I deal with everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Then, viewers saw Kim dialing up Sarah from her on-set trailer to discuss the actress\u2019s \u201cbig theory\u201d about Kim\u2019s complicated journey back to love.<\/p>\n

To share that theory, Paulson wasted no time unpacking years of cameras, scrutiny, and emotional armor that had been built up brick by freakin\u2019 brick. She said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a big theory: I think your thing of having been on camera for so long \u2014 there is a sense of being watched and being hyperaware of what you were doing all the time \u2014 that you had to be mindful of how open you were and how much you let things affect you. And so you\u2019ve lived inside this sphere of like, \u2018People are looking at me and I\u2019m strong and I can handle it,\u2019 but it\u2019s also exposing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And she didn\u2019t stop there. Sarah continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cAs things have increased and the fame has gotten more and then the marriage. I think those kinds of things mean you have to shut it down even more. Even think about the amount of times you\u2019re trying to keep everything little and tight around your kids so they don\u2019t have all the information about what it\u2019s like for you because you want to protect them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Unsurprisingly, Kim got it:<\/p>\n

\u201cTotally.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And then, Sarah shifted from diagnosing Kim\u2019s emotional walls to championing her romantic potential:<\/p>\n

\u201cI just think there\u2019s something about being aware and savvy enough that, like, \u2018My goal is to calcify enough that I can take it and it doesn\u2019t matter what anybody says.\u2019 I\u2019m actually wanting more for you of whatever the great romance of your life is for that to be able to bloom.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kim reflected on that powerful read in another confessional clip. In it, the SKIMS<\/strong> mogul admitted:<\/p>\n

\u201cI know Sarah feels like I have put up this wall to overprotect myself so that just maybe don\u2019t open up to love.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And through it all, Sarah stayed optimistic. In a cut back to their phone call, the thespian offered a ray of sunshine:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019ll come. It\u2019s gonna come, and when it happ<\/a>ens, if you do a little bit of this stuff with the therapist about desensitizing, it just allows for the full openness.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So sweet!<\/p>\n

Kim later addressed the elephant in the room: public opinion. However!!! She insisted that she\u2019s numb to it all by now. In another confessional cutaway, the ex-SKKN By Kim<\/strong> lead said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know really get affected by it though. It\u2019s been my life for so long. I would say you get really comfortable the longer you\u2019re single. You get really comfortable being single, and the thought of sharing your bed or your TV shows with someone else becomes less and less appealing. Because you get so set in your ways. But it\u2019s okay to just close down a little bit and focus on just the things that I want in life.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And of course, in true Kimmy Kakes fashion, she wrapped things up with that signature blend of practicality and<\/em> fairy-tale hope:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m the biggest hopeless romantic, and when the right person comes along, I\u2019ll be so ready.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So there you have it, y\u2019all: Kim\u2019s not anti<\/em>-love. She\u2019s just pro-healing, pro-comfort, and VERY much pro-selectiveness.<\/p>\n

And if Sarah is right, the next chapter might just be the one where Kim\u2019s walls will finally come down for the right person\u2026 and at just the right time.<\/p>\n
