Donald Glover<\/strong> has revealed a shocking health update.<\/p>\n

The This Is America<\/em> rapp<\/a>er, who formerly went by his stage name of Childish Gambino<\/strong>, took the stage at Camp Flog Gnaw<\/strong> on Saturday and got candid about a secret health battle. You may remember last October, the Atlanta<\/em> star very suddenly pulled the plug on his New World Tour<\/em>. He informed fans on X<\/strong> (Twitter<\/a><\/strong>) at the time:<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to make sure of an ailment that had become apparent. After being assessed, it became clear i would not perform that night, and after more tests, i could not perform the rest of the US tour in the time asked. As of now I have surgery scheduled and need time out to heal.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Donald chose not to detail specifics about ailment or the nature of his surgery, but added:<\/p>\n

\u201cMy path to recovery is something I need to confront seriously. With that said, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour and the UK and European dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. I want nothing more than to bring this show to the fans and perform. Until then, thanks for love, privacy, and support.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Since then, the Solo: A Star Wars Story<\/em> actor has had a quiet year, but Saturday marked a return to form\u2026 with a shocking underscore.<\/p>\n

At the music festival, which took place at Dodger Stadium<\/strong> in LA, Donald revealed he suffered a stroke last year around the time of his New Orleans show. Per clips on social media, he said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana and I did the show anyway. I couldn\u2019t really see well, so when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital and the doctor was like, \u2018You had a stroke.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That\u2019s so terrifying!<\/p>\n

Referring to Jamie Foxx<\/strong>\u2019s 2023 stroke, he joked:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first thing I thought was like, \u2018Oh, here I am still copying Jamie Foxx.\u2019 That\u2019s really like the second thing. The first thing was like, \u2018I\u2019m letting everybody down.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Redbone<\/em> singer went on to reveal that after suffering the stroke, he broke his foot, which led doctors to find \u201ca hole in [his] heart.\u201d The finding required surgery and then \u201canother surgery\u201d to treat. He optimistically added:<\/p>\n

\u201cThey say everybody has two lives, and the second life starts when you realize you have one. You should be living your life how you want. If we have to do this again, it can only get better.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
