It started in 2023 with the internet-shaking lyric on her song \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=FjjpZch6oeE\">No Bars<\/a>\u201d: \u201cPretty like a transgender.\u201d The debate that lyric kicked off \u2014 <i>Is that a compliment? Is that an insult?<\/i> \u2014 lasted days, but the girls, guys, and gays who <i>knew<\/i>, knew it was meant to be the highest form of praise. Since then, JT has penned heartfelt Pride letters, supported the Trans Justice Funding Project, and shared plans to marry her non-binary r<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>er partner Lil Uzi Vert. Last week, rather than break the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> of her forthcoming 2026 debut album online, she announced it at the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/opentoall.ent\/\">underground ball Open To All Entertainment<\/a>, attended by queens, fems, and N.Y.C.\u2019s queer underground. JT\u2019s alt-hood music might be new to our ears, but it\u2019s taking its place in a community whose blueprint she\u2019s been stepping into with intention.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-275899\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>\n            But back to this weekend. When the N.Y.C.-via-Miami rapper released her new 80s, queer-coded new single \u201cGirls Gone Wild,\u201d <i>and<\/i> announced a no-phones party in New York City on Saturday to celebrate its release, the streets hissed.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            I pulled up to Sugar Hill Super Club in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, to catch the \u201cCity Cinderella\u201d in the flesh alongside a lineup of queer royalty: Arca, Cortisa Star, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/ms.carriestacks\/?hl=en\">Ms. Carrie Stacks<\/a>, Telfar Clemens, Chicken, Sausha, and NK. A line wrapped around the block going both right and left was populated by people in furs, puffers, and tights. I spotted the Queens-based trans influencer and Telfar model Trapselyna staking out the front. \u201cTelfar and all of \u2018em is DJ\u2019ing,\u201d she gushed excitedly. \u201cMy favorite JT song is definitely \u2018No Bars.\u2019 Cortisa, I can\u2019t pick a favorite song for Cortisa. Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>le feature of <i>Zola<\/i>, <i>Euphoria<\/i>, and <i>Bodies, Bodies Bodies<\/i>. Thick fog and blue-pink light assaulted the senses. Grimy, navy carpet swallowed the floor. Two employees smacked giant purple stickers onto my phone camera and reiterated that \u201cno phones\u201d was law. A girl floated by wearing an outfit made entirely of electronics and LED strips. Downstairs, the gender-neutral bathroom was its own separate party and equally entertaining. \u201cY&#8217;all are so cute,\u201d yelled two boys with faces beat like Fenty-wrapped boxing gloves as my friend and I applied our fifth layer of lipgloss. Someone else piped, \u201cIf you want some K, let me know,\u201d like Bed-Stuy customer service.\n          <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"content_block paragraph When I came up $6 short, a girl next to me covered it without hesitation. Behind the booth, Chicken, the N.Y.C.-based DJ and producer behind \u201cGirls Gone Wild,\u201d tore through badass electronic selections. Later, Telfar Clemens, a man who does not DJ often, took the stage for a b2b with Ms. Carrie Stacks. Models from the brand\u2019s previous campaigns filled the crowd as Clemens and Stacks cycled through anthems of the city, Stacks chopping and screwing R&amp;B and pop hits. underground has been shaping rap, fashion, and internet culture. Parties like Dick Appointment and Papi Juice have built worlds where artists and DJs like Star, Clemens, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/kaitheblackangel\/?hl=en\">Kai The Black Angel<\/a>, Ms. Carrie Stacks, Chicken, Sausha, NK, Arca, and dozens more can sharpen their sound and identity long before the mainstream catches on. JT isn\u2019t the first artist to mirror a new sound off of that, but her grassroots embrace of the LGBTQ+ community feels like a major step for rap, where homophobia is still standard. I\u2019m here for her to rewrite its DNA, something she\u2019s clearly going all in on.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            At 3 a.m., when I stepped outside to go home, a girl sprinted past me, slapping her lap and screamed, \u201cJT TWERKED ON ME!
