The X (formerly Twitter<\/a>) page of the upcoming Evangelion:30+ ; 30th Anniversary of Evangelion event has unveiled a commemorative visual featuring the Rebuild movies<\/a>\u2019 main Evangelion pilots mid-jump and framed by splashes of color.<\/span><\/p>\n

The illustration will also be featured on some official goods.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shuichi Iseki<\/strong> (Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuX<\/em> co-design works artist, Eve \u201cMob\u201d music video character designer) drew the illustration. Iseki was\u00a0an animation director on Evangelion: 3.0+1.11 Thrice Upon A Time<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Evangelion:30+ ; 30th Anniversary of Evangelion event will take place at Yokohama Arena from February 21, 2026 to February 23, 2026. Plans for the stage portion of the event include a kabuki performance on day 3. The ticket page<\/a> (there\u2019s a section for overseas fans) is here.<\/span><\/p>\n

The original\u00a0Hideaki Anno<\/strong>-created and -directed\u00a0Neon Genesis Evangelion\u00a0<\/em>TV anime<\/a> that kickstarted the franchise began airing in 1995. The series saw teenager Shinji Ikari being forced to pilot one of the titular Evangelions to battle terrifying beings called Angels, with humanity\u2019s fate on the line.\u00a0<\/span>It was followed by the\u00a0Neon Genesis Evangelion:\u00a0Death<\/em>\u00a0&\u00a0Rebirth<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0The End of Evangelion<\/em> movies, as well as other types of media like manga, video game<\/a>s, and a novel series.<\/span><\/p>\n

A new movie tetralogy began in 2007 and finally came to an end in 2021 with Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon A Time<\/em>, the 47th highest-grossing film in Japan. An updated version of the fourth film titled Evangelion: 3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon A Time <\/em>was released on June 12, 2021 and\u00a0<\/em>was streamed internationally via Amazon Prime on August 13, 2021. The Blu-ray and DVD release is titled Evangelion: 3.0+1.11 Thrice Upon A Time<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

A new Blu-ray release titled\u00a0EVANGELION 30th Anniversary Movie Collection<\/em> is set to be released in Japan on December 10 JST.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
