Channing Tatum<\/strong> is remembering his good friend Stephen \u2018tWitch\u2019 Boss<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In case you\u2019re not aware, Channing and tWitch hit it off when they worked together on Magic Mike XXL<\/em> back in 2015. On Wednesday, the actor was present at the\u00a0Dance Hall of Fame Ceremony<\/strong> where he gave a beautiful speech about the late dancer.<\/p>\n

Per People<\/em>, Channing was visibly emotional and crying when he said:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI promised myself I wasn\u2019t going to cry.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Aww\u2026<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He continued:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI do this because tWitch made me laugh all the time. But to say that it is an honor to sit up here and talk about that man is an understatement to say the least.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

While the 21 Jump Street<\/em> actor spoke, he admitted he didn\u2019t quite know what to say about tWitch for several reasons:<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause lots of people here might\u2019ve known tWitch much longer or more intimate than I did. I got to work with him, and I got to work with him for a good amount of time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

At the end of the day, though, Channing knew his friend \u201cloved fiercely\u201d \u2014 so that\u2019s what he spoke about, along with his dancing skills:<\/p>\n

\u201cHe just loves so big and that\u2019s why he just shines so much \u2026 My brain just couldn\u2019t wrap itself around how this giant, big, beautiful man was moving the way he was. I was a bigger guy, and I couldn\u2019t fathom moving like that, and then he had to go and open his stupid mouth and be funny as well. That pissed me off. I was like, \u2018Hold on a second.\u2019 And then he smiles at you and then you fall in love with him, and then that\u2019s just tWitch.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

SO sweet!<\/p>\n

The Blink Twice<\/em> star said he had a \u201cman crush\u201d on tWitch, but he couldn\u2019t help it because that\u2019s what the dancer did. He \u201cmade all of us fall in love with him\u201d:<\/p>\n

\u201cHe made you want to be better at anything that you wanted to be. He accepted you for who you were, who you wanted to be or wherever you were going. He wanted to help and he wanted to be there.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As for their friendship, Channing said it felt like the most natural thing in the world:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cMaybe it was because we\u2019re both from Alabama and I just felt some sort of kinship to him. Roll Tide, by the way. I\u2019m sure he yelled it back and is laughing at me right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Sounds like it was just meant to be. What a special connection.<\/p>\n

Wrapp<\/a>ing up his emotional speech, the 45-year-old said:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was an honor to know him. It was an honor to call him a friend, and I will see him again.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So touching.<\/p>\n

As we\u2019re sure you know, tWitch sadly died by suicide at just 40 years old in 2022, and the whole world has been feeling the loss ever since. May he rest in peace.<\/p>\n
