King Charles III<\/strong> is wishing for a \u201cspecial\u201d Christmas, and the reason is a real tear-jerker!<\/p>\n

The 77-year-old has been battling an undisclosed form of cancer since he announced his diagnosis in February 2024. As he continues to fight this, he\u2019s also aware of his natural aging, and it\u2019s resulted in an urge to make the most of all his time. A source told Us Weekly<\/em> on Thursday:<\/p>\n

\u201cCharles prioritizes duty, but he\u2019s also a family man who knows his time is precious. He wants a special last Christmas in case it\u2019s his last.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Oof. \u201cHis last.\u201d It\u2019s natural for someone his age and with health issues to be thinking like that, but how sad! That really gives you a whole new sense of the importance of family time and holidays.<\/p>\n

To make this holiday special, Charles is expected to attend the royal family\u2019s annual walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church<\/strong> on Christmas morning. He will also be recording a Christmas speech, which airs later that day. The source insisted:<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing would stop Charles from doing that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The patriarch has always followed in his mother Queen Elizabeth II<\/strong>\u2019s footsteps by living with the understanding that one \u201chas to be seen to be believed.\u201d So with that, \u201cHe will do everything expected of him and more.\u201d<\/p>\n

A second insider chimed in to point out that those in his inner circle are worried \u201chis health isn\u2019t the best,\u201d despite the monarch saying otherwise earlier in the fall. The insider stressed, \u201cThey\u2019re taking it day by day.\u201d<\/p>\n

While there may be some complex feelings lingering this Christmas, it\u2019s also \u201ca time for celebration\u201d for Princess Catherine<\/strong>, who is cancer-free. She and her husband Prince William<\/strong> just moved into their \u201cforever home\u201d at Forest Lodge<\/strong>, too:<\/p>\n

\u201cThey all want to make the most of their time together. \u2026. [They\u2019re looking forward to] creating memories in what they consider their forever home.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That said, they\u2019re planning to be with Charles in Sandringham on the big day, and Kate Middleton<\/strong>\u2018s parents, Michael<\/strong> and Carole Middleton<\/strong>, will join in, too.<\/p>\n

With Charles thinking so much about his time coming to a close, we wonder if that\u2019ll prompt him to make more efforts to connect with Prince Harry<\/strong> this holiday season?? We\u2019ll have to wait and see.<\/p>\n
