\n A former Democratic aide who served as Twitter\u2019s director of public policy has left the social media company\u2019s Washington, DC, office to join Joe Biden\u2019s transition team, according to a report.<\/p>\n

The Democratic presidential nominee\u2019s team declined to comment to Politico, which cited a source familiar with Carlos Monje\u2019s move, what his new role is.<\/p>\n

Monje \u2014 who did not respond to Politico\u2019s requests for comment \u2014 serves as co-chair of Biden\u2019s infrastructure policy committee and helped host a fundraiser for the former veep this week, according to an invitation obtained by the news outlet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He previously served as the director of agency review on the team that prepared for a possible Hillary Clinton administration.<\/p>\n

Monja also helped with the Senate confirmation of two cabinet secretaries as part of the Obama transition team\u2019s 2008 national security working group, according to his LinkedIn profile.<\/p>\n

According to his LinkedIn profile, Monje began working at Twitter in 2017 after serving in Barack Obama\u2019s White House, as well as on the transition team for former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n

Twitter spokesman Ian Plunkett told Fox News<\/a>: \u201cWe don\u2019t have anything to share.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Biden campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News<\/a>\u2019 request for comment.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
