The NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD <\/em>(NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE<\/em>) TV anime<\/a> has received its second key visual.<\/span><\/p>\n

The anime was announced a month ago and will begin airing in April 2026. There will be theatrical pre-screenings in Theatre Shinjuku and Theatre Umeda first.<\/span><\/p>\n

NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD<\/i> is based on the 2022 game<\/a> by WSS playground<\/strong> (with character designs by Ohisashiburi<\/strong>), which Steam describes as \u201ca \u2018multi-ending ADV\u2019 depicting daily life with \u2018OMGkawaiiAngel,\u2019 a young girl with a rather extreme need for app<\/a>roval attempting to become the #1 \u2018Internet Angel\u2019 (streamer).\u201d The game was also\u00a0released on Nintendo\u00a0Switch in October 2022 and later came to PlayStation 4 and 5 in 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shortly after the anime\u2019s announcement, scenario creator nyalra<\/strong> publicly aired their grievances<\/a> with Why So Serious, Inc.\u00a0<\/strong>(WSS playground is a label of the company), with the allegations including not receiving \u201cfull compensation for my work\u201d and being \u201cremoved from the original-work management structure by their unilateral decision.\u201d The WSS Playground X (formerly Twitter<\/a>) account posted a response<\/a>, with a part of it saying, \u201cSince August 2025, we have been working toward an amicable resolution of disputes with Mr. Nyarura through our respective legal representatives, confirming facts and conducting discussions. We would also like to note that, in accordance with the relevant contracts, we have properly paid Mr. Nyarura compensation related to the game and IP revenues.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

On November 28, nyalra claimed on X<\/a> that Aniplex producers had spoken with WSS president Daichi Saito<\/strong> regarding the importance of preserving creators\u2019 trust, and that they believed that Saito would henceforth perform his duties with \u201crespect and love for authors and the indie community.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
