The CFTC has scrapp<\/a>ed its guidance on how crypto is delivered in a transaction, giving \u201cway more flexibility for exchanges,\u201d says StarkWare’s Katherine Kirkpatrick Bos.<\/p>\n US Commodity Futures Trading Commission Acting Chairman Caroline Pham has scrapped \u201coutdated guidance\u201d on the delivery of crypto, which has been applauded for offering exchanges more flexibility.<\/p>\n \u201cEliminating outdated and overly complex guidance that penalizes the crypto industry and stifles innovation is exactly what the Administration has set out to do this year,\u201d Pham said<\/a> on Thursday.<\/p>\n The guidance, originally finalized<\/a> in March 2020, related to when the \u201cactual delivery\u201d of crypto happened in a commodity transaction, but the CFTC said in a notice that it had to \u201creevaluate such guidance in light of further developments during the past 5 years.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more<\/p>\n<\/p>\n If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
