Following its reveal in September, the Rascal Does Not Dream of A Dear Friend<\/em> anime<\/a> movie has received a teaser visual and a fall 2026 release date.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend <\/em>(Seishun Butayaro wa Dear Friend no Yume o Minai<\/em>)) is the latest movie in the Rascal Does Not Dream <\/em>anime series<\/a> and shares its title with the 15th and final main volume of the original light novel series. <\/span>Yen Press describes the book\u2019s synopsis as such:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m glad I met you.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Faced with the truth about Miori and Touko Kirishima, Sakuta must make a choice. This will be his final case of Adolescence Syndrome!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The Rascal Does Not Dream\u00a0<\/em>light novels is published under KADOKAWA\u2019s Dengeki Bunko label and comes from the The Pet Girl of Sakurasou\u00a0<\/i>duo of\u00a0Hajime Kamoshida\u00a0<\/strong>(writer) and\u00a0Keji Mizoguchi\u00a0<\/strong>(illustrator). The premise sees protagonist Sakuta Azusagawa getting involved with people with supernatural problems, beginning with his high school senior Mai Sakurajima and her invisibility issue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The first volume, Rascal Does Not Dream\u00a0<\/em>of Bunny Girl Senpai<\/em>, was published in 2014, and a short story collection was released in July 2025. The anime began in 2018 with a TV series and was followed by a 2019 movie, two 2023 films, and a Summer 2025 TV anime.<\/span><\/p>\n
