Publisher Nacon and developer Nacon Studio Milan have delayed<\/a>\u00a0Terminator: Survviors<\/em> from its previously planned 2025 release window to an unannounced date, as well as provided an update on the game<\/a>\u2019s progress and revealed that it will no longer launch as an Early Access title. It will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series<\/a>, and PC via Steam<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Here is the full message from Nacon Studio Milan creative director Marco Ponte on the delay and the game\u2019s progress:<\/p>\n

Dear Survivors,<\/p>\n

Marco Ponte here, creative director of Terminator: Survivors<\/em> at Nacon Studio Milan.<\/p>\n

2025 is coming to an end and it\u2019s been a while since our last update. First, I want to thank you all for the patience and understanding you\u2019ve shown thus far. Though we\u2019ve been quiet, we haven\u2019t been idle; this year has been productive and we\u2019ve made important progress across all fronts, from world design and combat to narrative depth and atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Our aim with Terminator: Survivors<\/em> has always been to bring you an authentic and immersive open-world Terminator<\/em> experience that recreates the harsh reality of Skynet\u2019s uprising, and the resilience of humanity in spite of it.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll be immersed in a bleak story where every machine patrolling the open world is a lethal threat, and the chilling sight of a T-800\u2019s red eyes on the horizon means you run, you hide, or you die\u2026 Your journey will be one of desperation, as you explore, fight Skynet\u2019s first prototypes, and help the resistance rise from the ashes of civilization. This isn\u2019t just another shooter. It\u2019s a fight for the survival of all humanity from the moment you step out of the rubble. The start of the resistance against the machines, as seen through your eyes.<\/p>\n

After months of internal testing, discussions with players and fans of the license, we came to the conclusion that to give you an authentic \u201cTerminator<\/em>\u201d experience with the best possible shooting and exploration gameplay, we would have to put aside the cooperative multiplayer<\/strong>. We know this may come as a disapp<\/a>ointment, but we believe it is the right creative direction for an uncompromising vision of the world after Judgment Day.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve also had to overhaul our release plans, instead of launching in Early Access<\/strong>, we want your first steps into the wasteland to be a complete and polished experience<\/strong>. You might have guessed already, but that means Terminator: Survivors<\/em> won\u2019t be launching in 2025. We don\u2019t have a new date locked in, but we\u2019ll let you know when we\u2019re ready to share a new release date.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, your feedback is a crucial part of our development process, and so we\u2019ll be organizing several closed playtests (under NDA) as the launch window gets closer.
