The US government wants 1,000 tech workers to boost its capabilities and has turned to the private sector to plug its skill shortages.<\/p>\n

Crypto exchange Coinbase and trading platform Robinhood are among a group of tech companies lending a hand to the US government\u2019s new \u201cTech Force.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The launch<\/a> of the Tech Force on Monday aims to tap the private sector\u2019s talent to plug \u201ccritical skills gaps\u201d in the government across artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and software engineering.<\/p>\n

Big Tech firms will lend their workers to serve one- to two-year stints at federal agencies, with the government seeking 1,000 early-career candidates and \u201cexperienced managers.\u201d<\/p>\n
