TechnoByobu and U\/M\/A\/A have released a series<\/a> of gold leaf-pressed \u201cTB-02\u201d byobu folding screens in collaboration with \u201cGhost in the Shell,\u201d in the style of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.<\/p>\n

The byobu folding screen features art reflecting on \u201cGhost in the Shell\u2019s\u201d thematic balancing human and machine. The \u201cGhost in the Shell Konpaku\u201d and \u201cGhost in the Shell Gitai\u201d folding screens feature artwork by manga<\/a>ka Shirow Masamune<\/strong> and film director Mamoru Oshii<\/strong> respectively.<\/p>\n

The \u201cTB-02\u201d byobu folding screens are listed at 1,100,000JPY (app<\/a>rox. 7050USD), and will be available for preview and pre-order within Japan at \u201cGhost in the Shell: The Exhibition,\u201d on January 30, 2026, at TOKYO NODE. The byobu come in golden brass leaf and pewter leaf varieties.<\/p>\n
