Japanese streaming platform ABEMA has announced Project PRISMation, an initiative that \u201caims to collaborate with the next generation of anime<\/a> creators to produce entirely new and original anime works.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The project will release its first works in January 2025 and \u201cwill continue beyond 2026, expanding its collaborations with diverse creators each year.\u201d There are plans for public submissions \u201cfor original concepts and works from both Japan and abroad,\u201d beginning around May 2026.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Project PRISMation\u2019s first animations are from Thailand\u2019s Zemyata<\/strong>; the animation collective Uguisu Kobo<\/strong>, which mainly features graduates of Musashino Art University\u2019s Department of Imaging Arts and Science<\/a>s; and Vietnam-based duo rapitus<\/strong>. The first two have contributed pilot films, respectively titled <\/span><\/span>Poppin-Play Kitchen <\/span><\/em>and The Horrors\u2019 Horror Home<\/i>,<\/span> <\/span>while the latter is providing a video \u201cinspired by\u201d their previous Gluttomy<\/em> short<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Poppin-Play Kitchen<\/em>\u00a0will premiere on January 16, 2026 on ABEMA and Project PRISMation\u2019s social media<\/a> platforms, followed by Gluttomy <\/em>on January 23, 2026 and The Horrors\u2019 Horror Home<\/em>\u00a0on January 30, 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABEMA is majority-owned by CyberAgent (55.2%), whose business areas include IP creation, internet advertising, and game<\/a>s. The press release says that the new project \u201creflects the company\u2019s ongoing commitment to bringing new value to the anime industry under the philosophy that \u2018great IP is born from creators\u2019 passion and creativity.’\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This year, CyberAgent set up the animation studios Studio Kurm\u00a0<\/strong>and CA Soa<\/strong>. The animation studio Cygames Pictures<\/strong>\u00a0is a subsidiary of its consolidated subsidiary\u00a0Cygames<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABEMA began hosting the ABEMA Anime Festival offline event in 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n
