Woods<\/a> says while sitting next to fellow member <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/aundreafimbres1\/?hl=en\">Aundrea Fimbres<\/a> in the greenroom of Brooklyn nightclub <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/paragonbroadway\/?hl=en\">Paragon<\/a>.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            The two singers have just come from Danity Kane\u2019s sold-out show at Webster Hall, entourage in tow, ready to meet a club full of fans at the official afterparty; the who&#8217;s who of Brooklyn\u2019s dance music community, like <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thebussycatdoll\/?hl=en\">DJ Miss Parker<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/julianahuxtable\/?hl=en\">Juliana Huxtable<\/a>, are scheduled to play.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            It&#8217;s been a minute since they were last here, in this city, together, as Danity Kane; Woods and Fimbres fell out of contact after the chart-topping girl group first disbanded in 2009, a rupture that was documented on the MTV reality TV show, <i>Making The Band<\/i>. \u201cNot for any specific reason,\u201d Woods says. \u201cWe just went our separate ways.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            That show followed Sean \u201cP. Diddy\u201d Combs as he auditioned, formed and eventually brought the girl group to international stardom off of millennial hits like \u201cShow Stopper\u201d and \u201cDamaged.\u201d Since the band\u2019s disbandment and Combs\u2019 latest court case where he was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, Woods and her fellow original group members Dawn Richard and Aubrey O\u2019Day have <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thecut.com\/article\/dwoods-danity-kane-diddy-verdict.html\">all<\/a> <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/sean-combs-diddy-trial-richard-cassie-8a7c96a0c48d95b9d6ac0adfddaae1a4\">spoken<\/a> <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/entertainment\/tv\/2025\/12\/02\/sean-combs-the-reckoning-diddy-documentary-netflix-aubrey-oday-kid-cudi\/87567005007\/\">extensively<\/a> about the trauma they endured during their years working with Combs. O\u2019Day is noticeably absent tonight due to her <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DSc_3JKiRNs\/?hl=en\">own afterparty<\/a> and \u201csome stuff related to the Netflix documentary [<i>Sean Combs: The Reckoning<\/i>],\u201d Woods says. (Also missing from the current configuration of Danity Kane are Richard and Shannon Bex, though Bex made a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/t\/ZTrWaQt3K\/\">video<\/a> addressing fans that\u2019s included in the tour). She\u2019s spent the past many years living a quieter life in the Fresno suburb, Visalia, but she\u2019s never stopped singing. \u201cIt\u2019s empowering to take back what is ours. We can\u2019t change what happened, but that doesn\u2019t mean we didn\u2019t work our butts off to make those albums and create Danity Kane,\u201d she says.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Woods adds, \u201cWe performed these songs in 2008, but I didn\u2019t have as much fun as I\u2019m having now. I\u2019m so much more self-assured, self-aware and confident.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            Tonight is Fibres\u2019s first time \u201cbeing <i>outside<\/i>-outside in Brooklyn,&#8221; according to Woods. Woods, on the other hand, has lived much of her adult life in New York City, and cites the recently closed, nearby Bushwick bar Benton\u2019s World Famous as a favorite old haunt. Fabulous young queers rocking sunglasses and mesh tops move through the foggy space with confidence and musicality. An impressive crew of Brooklyn nightlife artists like Cakes Da Killa, LSDXOXO, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/memphy\/?hl=en\">Memphy<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/saushadlo\/?hl=en\">Sausha<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/tightcorsetloosemorals\/\">FASHION<\/a> can be seen mozying between Paragon\u2019s other green room and the top floor\u2019s throne-like DJ booth. On both the upstairs and downstairs dance floors, late-night movers gyrate to sounds provided by the evening\u2019s line-up, which, besides the aforementioned DJ Miss Parker and Juliana Huxtable, includes singer <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/aalexisjae\/?hl=en\">Alexis Jae<\/a> and DJs <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/boyyyish\/?hl=en\">boyyyish<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/tyqurah\/?hl=en\">purp<\/a>.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Tonight&#8217;s occasion, however, also carries with it a somber note. \u201cI\u2019ve been listening to Danity Kane since I was a child.
