A second key visual for the Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken\u00a0<\/em>anime<\/a> has been released.<\/span><\/p>\n

The show, which is set to premiere in 2026, is a new adaptation of the manga written by\u00a0Buronson\u00a0<\/strong>and drawn by\u00a0Tetsuo Hara<\/strong>. The premise sees Kenshiro, a master of the Hokuto Shinken martial art, becoming a savior in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by nuclear war.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The manga was serialized in Shueisha\u2019s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1983 to 1988.\u00a0The 1980s saw the release of a two-season anime series<\/a> and an anime movie. A new series comprising OVAs and movies was later released between 2006 and 2008 with five installments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fist of the North Star<\/em>\u00a0has also inspired other media<\/a>, like a 1995 live-action film, a stage play, and video game<\/a>s.\u00a0A novel titled\u00a0Hokuto no Ken: Jubaku no Machi\u00a0<\/em>was published in 1996 and received a 2003-2004 three-episode OVA adaptation titled\u00a0New<\/em>\u00a0Fist of the North Star<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

A motion comic adaptation of the\u00a0Elegy for the Henchmen: Fist of the North Star\u00a0<\/em>gag manga spin-off, Fist of the North Star: Elegy of Ken-Oh\u2019s Army Grunts<\/span><\/em>, is set to premiere on January 5.<\/span><\/p>\n
