\n\tMarcello Hern\u00e1ndez is sharing his thoughts after his former Saturday Night Live<\/em> co-star Bowen Yang exited the NBC sketch comedy series<\/a> at the end of last year.<\/p>\n

\n\tHern\u00e1ndez, who has been on the SNL<\/em> since 2022, was asked by The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> <\/em>at the 2026 Critics\u2019 Choice Awards on Sunday what it was like seeing the Wicked<\/em> actor leave. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe\u2019s a guy that I\u2019ve seen work so hard and he put up numbers,\u201d he said. \u201cYou know, if this was a team, he\u2019d be one of those guys that had a great career, and I\u2019m excited to see what he does next. And he\u2019s the man. Everybody loves him. You know, I\u2019m one of those people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tYang, who first joined SNL<\/em> as a writer in 2018 before joining the cast the following year, had his final episode on Dec. 20, which was the Christmas episode hosted by his friend and\u00a0Wicked<\/em>:\u00a0For Good<\/em>\u00a0co-star, Ariana Grande.<\/p>\n

\n\tTHR <\/em>also asked Hern\u00e1ndez what projects he wants to take on outside of SNL<\/em>. In addition to his first Netflix special, releasing Jan. 7, he said he\u2019s also \u201cexcited about doing standup and hopefully doing some more acting. I\u2019m writing, you know, trying to do the whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBut SNL<\/em> fans don\u2019t need to worry about Hern\u00e1ndez, who has become a fan-favorite, leaving the sketch comedy show anytime soon. He was also recently asked by E! News<\/a><\/em> if he was planning to leave behind Domingo or any other of his iconic SNL<\/em> characters in the near future.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m there. I\u2019m there. I\u2019m there,\u201d he replied, adding, \u201cI\u2019m having fun. It\u2019s a crazy job and you get to meet so many crazy people and I love it. I\u2019m having fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
