A main visual for the upcoming Draw This, Then Die<\/em> TV anime<\/a> has been unveiled. The core cast members were also announced.<\/span><\/p>\n

Akira Sekine<\/strong> is voicing protagonist\u00a0Ai Yasumi, a manga-loving high school student from Izu Oshima island. Joining her are Saori Hayami<\/strong> as Rei Teshima, Saya Hitomi<\/strong> as Kokoro Fujimori, Kanon Fujimura<\/strong> as Sachi Akafuku, and Inori Minase<\/strong> as Hikaru Sekiryu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Draw This, Then Die <\/em>is scheduled for a July premiere. It is based on the manga by Minoru Toyoda<\/strong>, which Seven Seas Entertainment describes as such:<\/span><\/p>\n

Yasumi Ai, a first-year high schooler living on the remote island of Izu \u014cshima, has one obsession: manga. When she discovers that her long-idolized but reclusive favorite manga creator, Hoshino-sensei, will make a rare app<\/a>earance at Comitia, Ai doesn\u2019t hesitate\u2014she has to meet her hero. But that single decision sets off a chain of encounters that will shatter her assumptions about art, genius, and what it truly means to create.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Winner of the 16th Manga Taisho Award and the 70th Shogakukan Manga Award\u2014now an anime in the making!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The manga began in 2021 and has eight volumes as of October 2026. It is serialized in Shogakukan\u2019s shonen magazine Gessan (Gekkan Sunday) and has its volumes published under the Gessan SSCS label.<\/span><\/p>\n
