href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en to Me<\/i> (out February 27 via Dead Oceans).\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            The song is tea-pot whistle, roaring open with a wall of fuzz and Mitski thrusting us into her confused spiral: \u201cWhere did it go? \/ Where\u2019s my phone? \/ Where did I leave? \/ Where\u2019d I go?\u201d  she sings.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            The song&#8217;s music video, set in a <i>Grey Gardens<\/i>,-esque old manor, shows Mitski cooped up with her sister and an elder female family member while pesky neighbors torment them. Its quickened cuts and fish-eye cinematography mirrors the song\u2019s strong sense of psychodrama.\n          <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-276917\" class=\"content_block paragraph embed triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"media_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"\">\n    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mitski - Where&#039;s My Phone? (Official Video)\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1mOGviDFRQU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-276918\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>\n            Both the song and video speak to a feeling of paranoia, and, per its title, can be thought of in terms of the diminishing effects of phone usage. \u201cI just want my mind to be a clear glass\/Clear glass with nothing in my head,\u201d she sings on the song\u2019s quickened verse.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            The song and forthcoming album were made using the same process as 2023\u2019s <i>The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We<\/i> \u2014 both recorded using a live band and chamber ensemble arrangements.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Though the new single has a similar sense of loud granduer as <i>The Land<\/i>, its sonics are comparatively bare-bones. Most of <i>The Land<\/i> sounds like it slowly descended from a cloudy stratosphere while &#8220;Where&#8217;s My Phone?&#8221; feels like it emerged from the rocky soil, brash and unvarnished.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            The new single is likely to compel listeners to think of earlier-era Mitski. There are strong reminders of 2014\u2019s <i><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WCphVz0ZGns&amp;list=PLbhWuIUSBiW8Tj7DFPB_ZfgEcflQKPCie&amp;index=3\">Bury Me At Makeout Cree<\/a>k<\/i> or her breakout album, 2016\u2019s <i><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=u_hDHm9MD0I\">Puberty 2<\/a><\/i>.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Like both projects, \u201cWhere\u2019s My Phone?\u201d finds the often compositionally shifty singer and songwriter foregoing roundabout musical journeys for a clean straight shot. Mitski dabbled with synth electronics on <i>Laurel Hell<\/i> and <i>Be the Cowboy<\/i>, which also had a twangy country palette. Here, though, Mitksi takes us firmly back to good old Rock and Roll. It&#8217;s a genre that particularly suits her uniquely visceral lyricism and heightened emotional range.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            \u201cWhere\u2019s My Phone?\u201d has an air of theatricality that should excite fans who often use Mitski\u2019s musical dramaturgy to process their own inner turmoil. (For better or worse, Mitski\u2019s fandom is one of the most prone to posting videos of themselves sobbing to her music on TikTok).\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            And while there is a lot of sorrow in the song, there is also humor and rage here,  too \u2014 as is always the case with Mitski&#8217;s music.
