\n If you\u2019re going to litter in Thailand\u2019s Khao Yai National Park, authorities want you to know that you\u2019re trash.<\/p>\n

In a heated series of Facebook<\/a> posts this week, Varawut Silpa-archa<\/a>, Thailand\u2019s minister of natural resources and environment, has stressed that any rubbish left behind, which can endanger the park\u2019s wildlife, will be packed up and sent right back to the offending visitor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will pick up all of your garbage,\u201d he wrote in one post regarding the new initiative. \u201cPostage back \u2026 home as souvenir.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYour trash \u2014 we\u2019ll send it back to you,\u201d another photo of garbage is captioned.<\/p>\n

Moreover, those guilty of littering will not only be blacklisted from visiting the park, but they\u2019ll also be registered with the police. In a post, he also reminded visitors that littering in a national park is punishable with a maximum of five years in prison and fines, according to the BBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Khao Yai, established as Thailand\u2019s first national park in 1962, spans more than 770 square miles about 80 miles northeast of Bangkok. It\u2019s that country\u2019s third largest national park and is known for its spread of mammalian wildlife \u2014 including elephants, sambar deer and civets.<\/p>\n

Each visitor to Khao Yai will have to register and share their home address, which makes park rangers able to link them to any garbage they leave in their wake.<\/p>\n

One post, showing empty plastic bottles and chip bags, showed a note written in Thai<\/a>, which translates to, \u201cYou forgot your litter at Khao Yai National Park, we\u2019re sending it back to you.\u201d<\/p>\n
