April Showers Bring May Flowers<\/span><\/i> aired for 13 total episodes from July 2025 to September 2025.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Minato Mirai<\/b> (<\/span>Mission: Yozakura Family<\/span><\/i>) directed the anime series, with <\/span>Miwa Oshima<\/b> (<\/span>My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!<\/span><\/i>) as character designer and <\/span>Beat<\/b> (animation director on episodes of <\/span>Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms<\/span><\/i> et al.) as sub-character designer. <\/span>Silver Link<\/b> was in charge of the animation production.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It is based on <\/span>Roku Sakura<\/b>\u2019s romantic comedy manga series, which was serialized in Kadokawa\u2019s Young Ace magazine from April 4, 2016 to September 2, 2022. Thirteen tankobon volumes in total were released in Japan. Yen Press licensed the manga for English release. The comedy manga series by <\/span>Motoei Shinzawa <\/b>began with <\/span>San-nen Kimengumi<\/span><\/i>, which ran in Shueisha\u2019s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from October 13, 1980 to April 12, 1982. Six total tankobon volumes were published in Japan.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It was then followed by the long-running sequel series, <\/span>High School! Kimengumi<\/span><\/i>, which was serialized in the same magazine from April 19, 1982 to July 6, 1987. Twenty total tankobon volumes were released in Japan.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Two more manga series were later released in 2000 and 2001, respectively. The franchise also inspired a 1986 anime film, video game<\/a>s, and stage plays.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
