In 2026, that answer looks very different.<\/p>\n<p>Does Performance Max work for every B2B advertiser?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No, and it shouldn\u2019t.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This article focuses on who is a good fit and who should still stay away. Because if you\u2019re not testing new tactics, you aren\u2019t meaningfully changing the results you\u2019re getting today.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"pmax-101-for-b2bs\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"PMax_101_for_B2Bs\"><\/span>PMax 101 for B2Bs<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re reading this article, I\u2019m assuming one of three things:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Performance Max isn\u2019t working for you.<\/li>\n<li>You haven\u2019t dared to try it yet.<\/li>\n<li>Or you\u2019re simply curious about what you could improve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Let\u2019s start with a quick refresher.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Performance Max is a goal-based campaign type that allows advertisers to access all Google Ads inventory from a single campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Today, that inventory includes <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a>, Display, Search, Discover, Gmail, and Maps.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re also starting to see ads in AI Overviews powered by Performance Max.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If AI Overviews are already showing up in your industry, this alone should put Performance Max on your radar.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Dig deeper: Top Performance Max optimization tips for 2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seeing ads run across all Google networks can feel intimidating, especially for lead generation organizations without a shopping feed. That\u2019s fine \u2013 you don\u2019t need one.<\/p>\n<p>One of the biggest benefits we\u2019ve seen is the ability to reach people within the buying group who wouldn\u2019t normally engage through traditional search alone.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Performance Max expands visibility beyond the small set of high-intent users who actively raise their hand.<\/p>\n<p>It has also proven effective for nurturing prospects across long, complex sales cycles.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For B2B advertisers, where decisions can take months and involve multiple stakeholders, that sustained presence can make a meaningful difference.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-needs-to-be-in-place-before-testing-performance-max\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_needs_to_be_in_place_before_testing_Performance_Max\"><\/span>What needs to be in place before testing Performance Max<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are a few requirements you can\u2019t avoid.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With Performance Max, you\u2019re not targeting keywords. That distinction matters.<\/p>\n<p>These are the signals I need to see before even starting a conversation about Performance Max readiness.<\/p>\n<p>First, you need to import your source of truth by connecting to Salesforce or your CRM of choice.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Optimization should be tied to a meaningful online event, such as a qualified lead submission or an <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ointment booked.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If the conversion action isn\u2019t meaningful, Performance Max won\u2019t be either.<\/p>\n<p>Your bid strategy must be set to maximize conversions or target CPA. You need a reasonably sized total addressable market.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re only targeting private equity firms, for example, Performance Max is unlikely to be effective.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The same applies when the audience is extremely restricted. In those cases, Performance Max simply doesn\u2019t have enough room to learn and scale.<\/p>\n<p>The same is true if your conversion actions are too high level or disconnected from revenue.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If the only signal you can provide is a form fill with no qualification behind it, Performance Max will struggle to understand what success actually looks like.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, Performance Max can be frustrating if your organization isn\u2019t ready to let automation run without constant intervention.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It rewards patience and clean inputs.
