In 2024, it was reported that the series\u2019 cumulative circulation numbers had <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oricon.co.jp\/news\/2327934\/full\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">surpassed<\/a> 100 million copies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">An English-language physical release of <em>Baki the Grappler<\/em> from Kodama Tales, based on the <em>kanzenban<\/em> release and named <em>Baki the Grappler (Perfect Edition)<\/em>, made its debut in October 2025. The Volume 1 synopsis reads:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">A mysterious seventeen-year-old boy with a white belt enters a karate tournament and shakes the foundations of Japan\u2019s martial arts scene. As he effortlessly defeats all opponents, the world\u2019s top fighters are left to ask: just who is this bizarrely strong young man, and what is he trying to accomplish?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">An OVA titled <em>Grappler Baki: The Ultimate Fighter<\/em> was released in 1994. Years later, a TV anime debuted in 2001. 2018 saw the start of a new anime that adapted the second part of the Baki story. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The new anime was followed by a 2020 second season, 2021\u2019s <em>Baki Hanma<\/em>, and 2023\u2019s <em>Baki Hanma<\/em> Season 2, and a <em>Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura<\/em> crossover.
