A new Mobile Suit Gundam Wing <\/em>30th anniversary visual has been released, featuring Heero and Relena in front of a Wing\u00a0Gundam\u00a0Zero\u00a0Cloaked\u00a0Custom.<\/span><\/p>\n

The same visual will be featured on an acrylic panel offered by A-on STORE and Premium Bandai <\/span>as a paid add-on bonus for Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz<\/em>\u2018s upcoming special edition 4K remaster release<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing\u00a0<\/em>premiered in 1995 as one of the alternate universe Gundam entries. It ran for 49 episodes and was followed by the three-part 1997 OVA Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz <\/em>(which would later be compiled into a theatrical \u201cSpecial Edition\u201d). Crunchyroll describes the TV series<\/a>\u2019 synopsis as such:<\/span><\/p>\n

The Revolution Has Begun! Mankind has moved into space. Thousands of people live on giant orbiting space colonies called \u201cSides.\u201d However, the Earth Government, which rules the colonies, is unjust and cruel. A group of revolutionaires builds five robotic weapons called Gundams and plans to send them to Earth to begin their fight for independence. Piloted by five young men, these Gundams carry the hopes and dreams of freedom of the colonists with them as they descend to Earth to begin Operation Meteor!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

2025 saw the announcement of various 30th anniversary plans for the anime<\/a>. The year also had the debut of a manga set between\u00a0Endless Waltz<\/em> and sequel novel Frozen Teardrop<\/em>, a\u00a0Mobile Suit Gundam WIng<\/em>\u00a030th anniversary panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, a theatrical re-release of Endless Waltz <\/em>in Japan and America, and a 30th anniversary video.<\/span><\/p>\n

Masashi Ikeda<\/strong>\u00a0(Takane no Jitensha<\/em>,\u00a0Wistoria: Wand and Sword<\/em> opening storyboard artist et al.) was the initial director for Mobile Suit Gundam Wing<\/em>. The anime\u2019s troubled production saw Shinji Takamatsu<\/strong>\u00a0(RobiHachi<\/em>) taking over as director partway.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Katsuyuki Sumizawa<\/strong>\u00a0(Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon<\/em>) handled the series composition, while Shuko Murase<\/strong>\u00a0(Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway<\/em> director) was the character designer. The mechanical designs came from Kunio Okawara<\/strong> (Mobile Fighter G Gundam\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Mobile Suit Gundam Seed<\/em>\u00a0co-mechanical designer,\u00a0Mobile Suit Gundam<\/em>), Hajime Katoki <\/strong>(Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway <\/em>co-character designer), and Junya Ishigaki<\/strong> (Expelled from Paradise<\/em>). Yasunao Aoki <\/strong>(Yakitate!! Japan<\/em>) directed\u00a0Endless Waltz<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
