Development on the Switch 2 version of Borderlands 4<\/em> has paused, Take-Two Interactive Software said during its Q3 2026 earnings results. <\/p>\n

While the Switch 2 version was previously planned to launch on October 3, 2025\u2014slightly after the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series<\/a>, and PC versions\u2019 September 12 release\u2014it was delayed to an unannounced date the last minute.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe made the difficult decision to pause development on that SKU,\u201d Take-Two spokesperson Alan Lewis told Variety<\/a>. \u201cOur focus continues to be delivering quality post-launch content for players on the ongoing improvements to optimize the game<\/a>. We\u2019re continuing to collaborate closely with our friends at Nintendo. We have PGA Tour 2K25<\/em> coming out and WWE 2K26<\/em> [for Switch 2], and we\u2019re incredibly excited about bringing more of our titles to that platform in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
