\n\tNow-solo\u00a0Lionsgate\u00a0on Thursday posted higher overall film and TV studio revenues and a widened loss for the third quarter of fiscal 2026 after spinning off its Starz streaming platform.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hollywood studio, led by CEO Jon Feltheimer, posted a net loss attributable to shareholders at $46.2 million, compared to a year-earlier $ $21.9 million loss. During the latest quarter to Dec. 31, 2025, overall revenue rose to $724.3 million, against $628.2 million in the same period of last year. That beat an analyst forecast for the latest overall third quarter revenues at Lionsgate to come in at $705.9 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tLionsgate posted an earnings per-share loss of 16 cents, compared to a year-earlier per-share loss of 9 cents, while the adjusted diluted net income per-share came to 1 cent. The adjusted OIBDA came to $85.3 million, against a year-earlier $115.2 million, and the trailing 12-month library revenue grew 10 percent to $1.05 billion.<\/p>\n

\n\tLionsgate is the studio behind\u00a0John Wick<\/em>,\u00a0The Hunger Game<\/a>s<\/em>\u00a0and other movie franchises.\u00a0The biggest box office performers during the third quarter included Paul Feig\u2019s The Housemaid <\/em>and Ruben Fleischer\u2019s Now You See Me: Now You Don\u2019t. <\/em><\/p>\n

\n\tLionsgate\u2019s motion picture segment revenue rose 35 percent to $421.2 million, against a year-earlier $311.4 million. That offset TV production revenue falling to $303.1 million, against $404.6 million in the same period of fiscal 2025, due to the timing of episodic deliveries, which was partly offset by strong TV library revenue. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m pleased to report a quarter that keeps us on track for our fiscal 2026 financial targets and positions us for significant growth in fiscal 2027 and beyond,\u201d Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said in a statement that accompanied his latest financial results. \u201cOur investment in our IP portfolio is achieving its intended results: our film and television pipelines are strong, our library continues to grow, and our extension of franchise properties across multiple platforms continues to increase.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
