Amanda McMaster, the company\u2019s\u00a0chief financial officer,\u00a0will stand in for the top job while the company\u00a0looks\u00a0for a replacement.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TechCrunch reached out to Boston Dynamics for more information.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Playter took the helm at Boston Dynamics in 2020, taking over from founder Marc Raibert. Playter worked at Boston Dynamics for 30 years, where he held other roles, including vice president of engineering and chief operating officer.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Boston Dynamics\u00a0was founded in\u00a01992 by Raibert as a spinoff from Massachusetts Institute of <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Technology<\/a>, where he was a professor. Google\u2019s parent company Alphabet bought Boston Dynamics in 2013,\u00a0before the company was sold to Japanese investing conglomerate SoftBank in 2017.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hyundai, its current owner, acquired the company in 2021.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The robotics producer is best known for its quadruped robot, Spot, which the company commercialized in 2020 shortly after Playter took the helm.
