target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/fengeveryday\/?hl=en\">Feng<\/a> is sheltering in front of a TV blasting <i>Stranger Things<\/i>. Dressed in a pair of grey joggers, offset by bright yellow socks, he looks out of the window at the puffer-jacketed masses walking the streets, going about their daily business. \u201cEveryone&#8217;s wearing black or they\u2019re doing a gothic <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">theme<\/a>,\u201d he says. \u201cLet me be the complete opposite. Because that&#8217;s who I am.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            Feng describes himself as a \u201ccolorful rebel\u201d who likes to wear pink whenever he can. The 19-year-old, who\u2019s usually quietly laid back, grows animated as he discusses two recent purchases: a 2016 Hedi Slimane-era YSL camo jacket and a pair of pink Vans that he customized with the words \u201cteenage dreamer.\u201d It\u2019s a phrase that suits an artist whose optimism and self-assured bars have put him on the fast track to becoming a key figure in the U.K. underground scene. He wants to encourage people to express themselves and do what they\u2019re passionate about. \u201cPeople don\u2019t need to be told what to do,\u201d he argues. \u201cThey need to be inspired.\u201d His own music taste was defined by his two older brothers who introduced him to Kid Cudi and A$AP Rocky, alongside \u201800s indie artists M.I.A. and Crystal Castles. In the same way songs like \u201cDay &#8216;n&#8217; Nite\u201d and \u201cPeso\u201d inspired him to take up music, Feng says he wants to become the same kind of role model to his generation.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Feng\u2019s conviction in the power of chasing your dreams is understandable when you look at his rapid ascent. Just two years ago he was still at college and producing beats on a copy of FL Studio given to him by one of his brothers. Lines like \u201cThis is your life so make yourself proud\u201d (\u201cWho do u wanna be\u201d) sit alongside songs about raving in London\u2019s west end and the Mediterranean town Ayia Napa. The feeling of being young and unstoppable permeates the project, as does the teenage sense that living a good life is as simple as being the best-dressed person at the party. It\u2019s genuinely charming when you realize Feng might be the first person in a decade to title a song \u201cYOLO\u201d without a hint of irony.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YOLO\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/A9V9X0_AsVs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            The breakout success of the project brought Feng a deal with Universal Music Group, who will be releasing his major-label debut on Friday, <i><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DUjE2fxjJkM\/?hl=en\">Weekend Rockstar<\/a><\/i>. Produced by Feng alongside Bilal Hamdi, a Paris-based producer Feng discovered on YouTube, it\u2019s a snapshot of Feng\u2019s new life since his music started blowing up. In it, he <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HJ5VLHnyppo&amp;list=RDHJ5VLHnyppo&amp;start_radio=1\">disses a shitty day job<\/a> he quit in late 2025 (\u201cI was sending emails and wasting my time,\u201d he says of the unnamed office role) and writes about going on multiple <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>s to Los Angeles. His feelings about the traps of the industry are more prominent on \u201cCali Crazy,\u201d where he frets about \u201closing my own face\u201d when confronted with \u201cguns, money, drugs, sex\u201d that remind him of playing Grand Theft Auto in real life. center_align\">\n<p>\n            Feng says that the U.K. underground scene hasn\u2019t peaked yet but has reached \u201cmaturity\u201d as its key figures have broken out and major label money now floods the scene. He says he agonized over whether to stay independent or sign his deal with Universal, but ultimately his creative ambition won out. With his expensive video treatments (Feng directs his own visuals) and big plans for Regularisperfect, the label subsidiary he established alongside OsamaSon affiliate Stan Smith, a cash injection was needed. Plus, the signing has allowed him to begin working with artists across the U.S. underground scene, too, like <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/salemannmc\/\">Salem Ann<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/nomadthemoron\/\">Nomad The Moron<\/a>.
