Gamebiz<\/a>, citing a gazette published on February 16, has reported the absorption of Telecom Animation Film\u00a0<\/strong>into its parent company TMS Entertainment<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The outlet also noted that a balance sheet revealed that Telecom had 346 million yen (~US2.25 million) in losses and was insolvent.<\/span><\/p>\n

Telecom Animation Film was founded on May 19, 1975, back when TMS Entertainment was Tokyo Movie. According to the studio\u2019s website, it was formed to raise animators who could draw internationally accepted full animation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Some of Telecom Animation Film\u2019s early productions include Hayao Miyazaki<\/strong>\u2018s Lupin the 3rd: The Castle of Cagliostro<\/em>, Isao Takahata<\/strong>\u2018s Jarinko Chie<\/em>, and the Japanese and American co-production NEMO<\/em>. It has also produced anime<\/a> like Futakoi<\/em>, Z\/X Ignition<\/em>, Sengoku BASARA \u2013 End of Judgement<\/em>, the Takeshi Koike\u00a0<\/strong>Lupin the IIIrd\u00a0<\/em><\/span>titles, Orange<\/em>, Tower of God<\/em>, Shenmue The Animation<\/em>, and Don\u2019t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the last few years, Telecom Animation Film produced shows The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse<\/em>, Lupin the IIIrd: Zenigata to Futari no Lupin<\/em>, and Blue Box<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

As for the Sega-owned TMS Entertainment, it is the animation production studio for anime like Ashita no Joe 2<\/em>, Magic Knight Rayearth<\/em>, Detective Conan<\/em>, D.Gray-Man<\/em>, Rent-A-Girlfriend<\/em>, Sakamoto Days<\/em>, and the upcoming To You in the Beyond<\/em>. On February 10, the company announced the establishment of a new personnel system for full-time creatives with the goal of providing a better, more supportive working experience.<\/span><\/p>\n
