James Van Der Beek<\/strong> had massive debt just a few years before he passed.<\/p>\n

As you know, the Dawson\u2019s Creek<\/em> star sadly passed away after a battle with colorectal cancer last week. But before he died, he and his wife Kimberly owed some BIG bucks to the IRS<\/strong> for unpaid taxes. Per TMZ<\/em>, the couple didn\u2019t pay their taxes in 2018 and 2019, and were slammed with a bill in 2021.<\/p>\n

That bill consisted of totals of $95,438.31<\/strong> and $173,890.31<\/strong> for each respective year they didn\u2019t pay. This totaled up to $269,328.62<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

That\u2019s a LOT of dough! But thankfully, those debts weren\u2019t left behind to his family. James and Kimberly paid off their tax debts in 2022 \u2014 two years before he found out he had cancer. But we can\u2019t even imagine how much of a stress that must\u2019ve been on the family.<\/p>\n
