Senator Elizabeth Warren said it was \u201cdeeply unclear\u201d if the US government has plans to intervene in the current Bitcoin selloff.<\/p>\n

Senate Banking Committee ranking member Elizabeth Warren has reportedly sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell urging them not to bail out \u201ccryptocurrency billionaires\u201d with taxpayer dollars.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Warren warned that any potential bailout \u201cwould be deeply unpopular to transfer wealth from American taxpayers to cryptocurrency billionaires,\u201d adding that it could also \u201cdirectly enrich President Trump and his family\u2019s cryptocurrency company, World Liberty Financial, according<\/a> to CNBC.<\/p>\n

The letter comes as Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>) prices have fallen more than 50% from their all-time high in October, hitting a local low of $60,000 on Feb. 6.<\/p>\n
