\n\tMickey Rourke and Peter Facinelli are among the castmembers of a forthcoming crime feature aiming to bring thrills to theaters. <\/p>\n

\n\tLevel 33 Entertainment is set to release filmmaker Scout Taylor-Compton\u2019s Bring the Law<\/em> theatrically in the U.S. and Canada on Feb. 27, when it will also be available on VOD, The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> has exclusively learned. Brendan Fehr (The Night Shift<\/em>), Nicky Whelan (Crescent City<\/em>), Danielle Harris (Halloween<\/em>) and Leah Pipes (The Originals<\/em>) round out the cast for the indie film. <\/p>\n

\n\tSet in Los Angeles, Bring the Law<\/em> centers on a veteran homicide detective (Fehr) assigned to lead a task force to bring down a notorious criminal syndicate. As the investigation progresses, he discovers corruption stemming from his own department. <\/p>\n

\n\tTaylor-Compton, known for her acting work in such projects as Gilmore Girls<\/em>, Charmed<\/em> and the 2007 Halloween<\/em> remake, marks her feature directorial debut with Bring the Law<\/em>. Josh Ridgway wrote the script<\/a>, with the story credited to Daniel Figueiredo. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cStepping behind the camera on Bring the Law<\/em> pushed me creatively in every way,\u201d Taylor-Compton says. \u201cIt\u2019s a grounded, character-driven crime thriller about power, consequence and how far someone will go to make things right.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDaemon Hillin and Carolina Brasil serve as producers, while Figueiredo is co-producer and composed the score. Level 33 acquired Bring the Law<\/em> from Odyssey Motion Pictures, which is handling international sales.<\/p>\n

\n\tRourke is known for such movies<\/a> as The Wrestler<\/em> and Iron Man 2<\/em>, and his forthcoming features include 3 Days Rising<\/em> and Hollywood Hustle<\/em>. Facinelli, who starred in the Twilight<\/em> franchise, is set to direct Ashley Greene and Seth Green in Grace Period<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
