NYDIG\u2019s Greg Cipolaro says only a handful of crypto app<\/a>lications are attractive to investors and that the sector needs to reevaluate its \u201cbroad \u2018web3\u2019 ambition.\u201d<\/p>\n The number of crypto applications that can attract investors is starting to shrink as the industry matures, but that could be a positive to show the sector\u2019s long-term winners, says the crypto services company NYDIG.<\/p>\n NYDIG research lead Greg Cipolaro said<\/a> in a note on Friday that the \u201cinvestable universe\u201d of crypto is narrowing to applications or services that \u201cextend traditional finance products onto blockchain infrastructure.\u201d<\/p>\n He specifically named Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>), tokenized assets, stablecoins, some decentralized finance infrastructure, and a limited number of \u201cgeneral<\/a>-purpose\u201d blockchains like Ethereum, adding that beyond such use cases, \u201cthe probability of large-scale blockchain applications appears lower than previously assumed.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more<\/p>\n<\/p>\n If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
