Russian authorities have initiated a criminal investigation into Telegram co-founder and CEO Pavel Durov, according to state media<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

Durov is being investigated in Russia as part of a criminal case over the alleged facilitation of terrorist activities, official state publication Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported<\/a> on Tuesday, citing information from the Federal Security Service (FSB).<\/p>\n

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reportedly confirmed<\/a> the investigation, saying the reports were based on materials from the FSB, which is \u201ccarrying out its functions.\u201d<\/p>\n
