dropping Washington D.C. punk rockers Ekko Astral. Band frontwoman Jael Holzman said they would instead be independently releasing their sophomore effort <i>the beltway is burning<\/i>, which was set for an April 22 release.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            The label\u2019s statement on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> began, \u201cWe can no longer support Ekko Astral,\u201d fueling rumors of controversy. Topshelf confirmed at least <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/topshelf-records-drops-ekko-astral\/\">part of the rationale to drop the band was related to an ongoing dispute<\/a> between Holzman and ex-drummer Miri Tyler, <i>Pitchfork<\/i> reports. On Twitter, Holzman said, \u201c[\u2026] there is a lot more to that story to share [\u2026.] and a *lot* of misinformation surrounding the events leading up to it.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; In her petition to the court, Holzman said, \u201cI do not want to see Miri Tyler go to jail and do not think that is a remedy here. But I need her to stay far, far away from me and leave me alone, so we can both move on and she can find the help she clearly needs.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            While the judge \u201cmade no findings of threats of violence,\u201d Tyler, who did not have legal representation, consented to the order, probably to avoid a potentially negative court ruling and retain the right to remove the order from her record. The peace order requires Tyler to avoid Holzman and her residence until Aug. 13 at risk of a fine and\/or jail time.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Tyler announced her departure from Ekko Astral at the end of January following a nearly two-week jail stint. Although Tyler\u2019s announcement said in part, \u201ctouring with this band has brought me to a worse place mentally than I have been in nearly 10 years, the split was widely interpreted as amicable because Tyler\u2019s band Pretty Bitter was still set to play Astral\u2019s Liberation Weekend Festival in April. Now it seems safe to assume that performance won\u2019t be h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ening.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            The FADER has reached out to Topshelf Records for more info.
